In a long post on LinkedIn, the co founder of Naughty Dog, Andrew Gavin, has explained why Naughty Dog was sold to PlayStation back in 2001. He explained that at the time the cost of developing games was spiraling out of control and some games these days can cost hundreds of millions of dollars to develop. In his opinion, a lot of publishers have got leverage over developers because they have the budget to support the development of games, which developers will not necessarily have. Which game do you like the most from Naughty Dog? And the next bit of news for today is the schedule for Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 has been announced. Awesome Games Done Quick is a speedrunning event, which happens twice a year where a variety of different speedrunners try and generate money for charity. The event has built a very strong reputation and it can feature a lot of games. Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 will be kicking off on the 05 Jan 2025. Do you like watching Speedrunning? And the last bit of news for today is Jim Carrey, who played Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic movies, has said that he's open to taking on the role again for a Sonic 4 movie.
