If you preorder the expansion for Final Fantasy XIV called Dawntrail, you will get Final Fantasy 9 themed collectors items. The Producer and Director of the game, Naoki Yoshida, has stated that the reason why everything is Final Fantasy 9 themed is currently a secret. Right now, there is speculation that it might be hinting at a Final Fantasy 9 Remake, but in my opinion, more likely it's hinting at Final Fantasy 9 themed raids coming to the expansion. The map shows the locations of Seeker Tokens, Porter Crystals, Ferry Stones, and more. A lot of the items are available as paid DLC, but it has been noted that it's completely unnecessary if you find them in game. Hopefully, an interactive map like this will help you do that.
