The BAFTA Games Awards for 2023 was last night, with it celebrating gaming in all of its forms. God of War Ragnarok took home six awards and the top prize went to Vampire Survivors. If you're curious, then be sure to look up the list of all the winners.
And the next bit of news for today is E3 2023 has officially been cancelled both physically and digitally. Geoff Keighley will be hosting the Summer Game Fest 2023 instead during the same time period. He said that unfortunately, E3 did not embrace the online movement towards game announcements as quickly as it should have.
And the last bit of news for today is Final Fantasy 16 has gone Gold. What that means is that the game is in a stable enough condition to be burnt to a master disk and then sold. There is still more than two months until the release of the game, so they can use that time for optimization and little tweaks to make the game as good as possible. The game itself will be coming out on the 22 Jun 2023.
