Babylon's Fall is going to be shutting down on the 27 Feb 2023. It had a very rocky start and they really want to make sure that the players who invested in and played the game will have as many events as possible between now and then. But ultimately next February the game is over. Hopefully, Square Enix can redirect their resources onto other games.
And the next bit of news for today is ahead of the Tokyo Game Show, Nintendo will be doing a Nintendo Direct today at 7 a.m. PT, which is 3 p.m. In the UK. There will be 40 minutes of game trailers and announcements about games which are launching in the winter of this year. Hopefully there'll be really good announcements coming from the Nintendo Direct and if anything interesting comes along, I'll be sure to report it on the Gaming News.
The last bit of news for today is PlayStation will also be doing a State of Play live stream today at 3 p.m. PT, which is 11 p.m. In the UK. They'll be going through PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PSVR 2 announcements. We will see if anything interesting comes along from it as well.
