The ESA President Stan Pierre-Louis has confirmed that E3 will be returning for E3 2023. He had an interview with the Washington Post where he went into detail about what's been going on on with E3 so far. Now my concern is that they might have stiff competition now with Summer Game Fest around the corner and some Studios choosing to do their own thing. We will see what happens next year.
And the next bit of news for today is Evil West has had its release date announced for the 20 Sep 2022. It will be a stylistic cowboy hunting vampires and zombies type game. It looks really interesting to me so hopefully I'll be checking out when it releases.
And the last bit of news for today is an article on PlayStation Blog has spoken about the future of Bend Studio, the developer behind such games as Days Gone. And on there it says "First off, we want to thank our players for all your support over the years. From the Syphon Filter series to Resistance: Retribution, Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Days Gone. Your passion for our games continue to inspire us to create and bring new experiences to you. We carry each game we have developed as a badge of honor that reflects our past accomplishments and builds an even better future." And then they go on to say "The new Bend Studio logo is just the beginning of Bend Studio's future. As part of the PlayStation Studios family, we promise to continue to bring you quality experiences that aim to leave an everlasting impact with you. Today we're excited to share just a snippet of news for our current project. We are currently working on a new IP that includes multiplayer builds upon the open world systems of Days Gone and brings you a whole new world that we are extremely excited to have for you. We cannot wait to reveal it to you when the time is right." I'm definitely looking forward to any news about this. Days Gone especially was really good. Any news about anything future from the same studio would be welcome.
