Team17 tweeted out saying "Team17 is today announcing an end to the MetaWorms NFT project. We have listened to our Teamsters, development partners and our game communities and the concerns expressed and have therefore taken the decision to step back from the NFT space." They announced literally just yesterday that they were going to be doing an NFT project, but they've decided obviously to step back from that. And prominent content creators like Asmongold tweeted out saying "It's great to see the gaming community come out so strongly against NFTs. Multiple gaming companies now have had to walk back on unwanted NFT push into their game after backlash. Keep it up boys we're winning."
And the next bit of news for today is PlayStation are going to be doing a State of Play today at 5 p.m. Eastern, which is about 10:00 p.m. UK. And it's going to be focused on Gran Turismo 7. They're going to feature about 30 minutes of potential gameplay and information about the game. If you've been looking forward to Gran Turismo 7, be sure to check out the State of Play tonight.
And the last bit of news for today is Crown Channel tweeted out saying "Celebrate the NA launch of the hit game Lost Ark with Crown Ark Week. Tune in for a week of original programming packed with your favorite streamers and a special performance by Run The Jewels. Lost Ark is going to be coming out in the west in US and EU on the 11 February. You'll be able to play it finally. And I'm looking forward to this event because one of my favorite streamers SedyTo, is going to be involved. She was in the top right of that image. We will see what it's like. Hopefully, the launch goes well. People have been waiting a really long time to jump into Lost Ark, so hopefully it'll be good.
