Yesterday, I was explaining DLDSR technology from Nvidia, but I got some points wrong which was highlighted to you guys in the comment section. One comment from Jeffrey Melton explains, "I think you got that wrong. I believe it does the opposite. It renders in a high resolution and cramps it into a lower resolution. So, in the example, the left has native 1080p. The middle is the standard DSR where basically renders in 4K and crammed into 1080p but kills the frame rate and the right it shows that it only had to sample 1620p and cram it into 1080p to get just as clean of edges as a 4K sampled on to basically no cost to the frame rate." Sorry that I got that wrong. And thank you guys very much for clarifying. And the next bit of news for today is STALKER 2 has been delayed, so the developers released a statement which says "Stalkers, We have made a decision to postpone the release of STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl to December 8, 2022. These additional seven months of development are needed to fulfill our vision and achieve the desired state of the game. STALKER 2 is the biggest project in the history of GSC and it requires thorough testing and polishing. We are convinced that development should take as long as necessary, especially in the case of such a project. This decision is not an easy one, but we are doing the best possible to deliver you a game that can live up to the expectations. With more information, updates and showcases coming, we have an exciting and important year ahead. Thank you for your patience and understanding. With love, GSC Game World team". I think it's good. As I've covered many times in the Gaming News, more time for polish to make games better, great. Thumbs up from me. I really think that's a great attitude to have when it comes to game development. And the last bit of news for today is thanks to PlayStation, I was able to review God of War PC early and I can confirm it's a great port. As someone who has achieved the Platinum Trophy for God of War on PlayStation, I was very anxious about this being a worthy port for the game, but thankfully it comes with a lot of customisation options which are useful to content creators as well as gamers, and you can ramp up the graphics really high. And then if you toggle on the Nvidia Reflex technology, then it makes the game so responsive that I've had to relearn my timing when it comes to parrying because I still have the muscle memory of the parrying on PlayStation 4. It's a worthy version of an already amazing game. I would highly recommend it and I can't wait to see everyone's reaction to it when they get their hands on it tomorrow.
