Awesome Games Done Quick or AGDQ is set to start tomorrow. You can head over to the official website, you can see the full schedule and breakdown of everything that's going on. Who the Speed Runners are, what time and so on. If you don't know Games Done Quick is a bi-yearly event where they just generate as much money as they can for charity. While speed running a lot of games. It's supported by a lot of Speed Runners and some of my favorite streamers I have seen through GDQ, so it's definitely worth checking out for that reason alone.
And the next bit of news for today is SEGA is changing its stance on NFTs and Blockchain technology. During the latest board meeting, which was attended by most of the Senior Management Team, they spoke about how they want to reflect on player feedback when it comes to NFTs and they want to make sure that if players and customers view it as purely a money making scheme that they simply will not introduce it. So far, from what I can see, the overwhelming majority just are completely against NFTs in gaming. I recently reported that South Korea is almost outright banning them from games. Hopefully, they will not proceed with their plans for NFTs and Blockchain, and hopefully Square Enix will eventually change their stance as well.
And the last bit of news for today is Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 is speculated to be teased during the Star Wars Celebration on May 26 to May 29 in Anaheim. We will see if we get more information about it. If you don't know Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is a game that came out a couple of years ago. It's really good. Think of it as almost like a Dark Souls Star Wars game, and I personally loved it. It has been patched for PlayStation 5, so it takes advantage of the PlayStation 5 hardware and it's available on PC as well. And just so you know, something that I did report a couple of days ago, it's actually available for free right now on Prime Gaming. If you have Prime Gaming, or what was formerly known as Twitch Prime, you'll be able to get the game completely for free on PC on Origin and you'll be able to check it out. I would highly recommend it. In fact, I'm going to link my playthrough of the game in the description of the video and I also achieved the Platinum Trophy, so it's a 100% playthrough.
