Video Transcript

There's been ongoing congestion issues with the early access launch of Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker and it will probably last for a few days. What most players seem to be experiencing is not just long server queues but also the queue being interrupted and then being thrown at the back of the queue. For example, you might be 5000 in the queue, wait for ages, maybe more than an hour, get disconnected and then be back exactly where you were at the beginning. It's been a highly frustrating experience for a lot of players trying to play Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker and Naoki Yoshida, who is the director of the game, also known as Yoshi P, has sent out a blog to basically explain why the situation is happening and also will be offering all the purchasers of the game with an active subscription, seven days of free game time to compensate for what's going on. Hopefully, they can fix it sooner than later. From my experience, no MMO has ever had a smooth launch, smooth expansion launch. I've never ever seen it because simply the amount of players is overwhelming and it's only going to get worse with time. The developers of MMOs need to anticipate that more and more and more and more. Hopefully it'll be fixed sooner than later. And then next bit of news for today is more on Final Fantasy 14. Square Enix and Sia have actually collaborated on a version of Fly Me To The Moon for Final Fantasy XIV. Fly Me To The Moon is a song that came out in the 1950s and it's been used a lot in different versions. It's been used by Frank Sinatra in the 60s to commemorate the moon landing. It's been used in Squid Game as a weird song over the first game of red light, green light and it's also been used at the ending of Bayonetta. It's been used a lot, but the Sia version is really good, so look it up, Sia - Fly Me To The Moon. And then this week shout out and feature is going to go to videogamedunkey. videogamedunkey is a content creator, mostly a YouTuber, but he's also streams over on Twitch and he's got a massive channel on YouTube and he puts a lot of effort into his videos as a comedy reviewer. That would be the shortest way to explain what he does, and he is not scared at all about voicing his opinion or opposition about certain elements of certain video games, and his latest video is very creative. It's a video that's just blank in an audiobook style and it was still very good and his videos typically get one to 11 million views each. He is a long established YouTuber in the video game sector and also as well, I love his videos. I've been watching him for years now, so check him out if you've not actually looked at his channel before. And one thing that you might find is that you don't just watch one of his videos. You end up watching like 20. That's part of the reason why he's so big on YouTube because he makes really high quality videos, and it's obvious he puts a lot of effort into them as well.
