Video Transcript

Roblox is back online after a couple of days of outage. The official Roblox Tweeted out saying "Roblox is back online. Thanks again for your understanding and support. Our CEO David Bazuki has yet an update on the outage and steps taken to address it." If you don't know, Roblox is a platform for creating other gaming experiences and millions of gaming experiences have been made on Roblox. With Roblox being down, millions of gaming experiences like Piggy and Jailbreak were down, so all of them should now be back online. Hopefully it won't go out again and you can read the update to see what was going on behind the scenes. The next bit of news for today is SEGA has ambition to make a mega Super Game that's cloud based and in order to achieve that, they want to partner up with Microsoft and use their cloud services called Azure. They sent a Press Release on the SEGA Corporation website, which reads "SEGA Corporation and Microsoft Corporation have agreed in principal, a strategic alliance that explores ways for SEGA to produce large scale global games in a next generation development environment built on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform. The alliance would form a key part of SEGA's mid to long term strategy, allowing the business to move forward with Super Game, a new initiative for developing new and innovative titles where the key focuses are global online community and IP utilization." We have to wait and see. That sounds ambitious. I like ambitious goals. The last bit of news for today is apparently Fortnite is closing down in China. They sent out a message on the official Chinese Fortnite page, which basically says that the game is going to be shutting down on the 15 Nov 2021. In two weeks from now and there is speculation that that's in response or in regards to these stricter gaming policies which have been brought in by the Chinese authorities. In my previous reporting I mentioned that if you're under 18 and you're a gamer in China, you can only play something like 3 hours on evenings or weekends for online games. Games like Fortnite would be especially affected.
