Video Transcript

Google is actually now countersuing Epic Games. Epic Games has brought a lawsuit against Apple and Google over the removal of the Fortnite app, and the reason why the Fortnite app was removed from both stores is because they implemented their own payment system, which circumvented the stores payment systems, which developers are obliged to use. Epic Games alleged that both Google and Apple are running an anti competitive model to force the developers onto their payment system. Now Google has actually said that by Epic purposefully breaching contract and implementing this system, they have led to damages on Google and also highlighted a potential security problem on the Google Play Store, which could be used by other bad actors for nefarious like means or deeds. We'll see what happens with that. Apple and Google are not going to back down because very recently I reported that there was an outcome for the Apple versus Epic lawsuit. And of the ten allegations Epic put against Apple, nine went in Apple's favor. Apple have basically said that for now they are not going to allow the Fortnite app back onto the Apple App* Store until all lawsuits are finished, which could take years. Given that now Google is countersuing Epic Games, it means that most likely Fortnite App will just not be returning to any phone any time soon. Oh, well. The next bit of news for today is the developers behind Call of Duty and Raven Software have sent an email and open letter to cheaters. Let me read this to you. It says, "Dear Cheaters, We love games. It's our passion. We're honored to make games for the greatest fans in the world. We don't always get it right, but we're committed to doing our best. Cheating ruins the fun for everyone. No one likes a cheater. Our goal is to deliver a fun and fair gaming experience, for our developers, for our fans, and most importantly, for Call of Duty players everywhere. Cheaters aren't welcome. There's no tolerance for cheaters, and soon you'll know what we mean, Call of Duty." What I'm going to do is I'm actually going to make a video going about this in detail over on my main gaming channel because I feel there's more to this than meets the eye. Know that this is the open letter that they sent to cheaters in games. The last bit of news for today is the Quake next gen upgrade, which will allow you to run the original Quake game in 4K 120 FPS is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and it will be available as a free upgrade if you already own previous versions of the game from the previous generations. If you're interested know that that's available.
