DrDisrespect, known in real life as Guy Beahm, has said that he now finally knows the reason why he was perma banned from Twitch back in June 2020. Apparently, he's known for months, and he said that the reason that he's been banned is also the reason why he is now suing the "F" out of Twitch. He hasn't disclosed the reason. But he has said now that he has known for months and that he is proceeding with his team to sue Twitch over it. The reason why this news keeps coming up is because before he was banned, he was one of the few select streamers on the Twitch platform who had an exclusive streaming deal potentially were millions of dollars to stream just on Twitch. And then out of nowhere, he got banned back in June 2020. And since then he's been streaming on YouTube Gaming, and he's done pretty well on YouTube. But basically because the contract potentially with Twitch was worth millions of dollars, he wants it paid out, that would be my guess. Obviously, I'm not involved in the case, so we just have to wait and see what more comes out of this.
The next bit of news for today is Ubisoft have said that they're still pursuing their dreams of opening a theme park in Kuala Lumpur, so they have been working on it for a while. They have ideas of what they want to fill it with and so on based on different Ubisoft franchises. But they said that opening theme parks is a very complex project. We have a Nintendo theme park in Universal Japan and stuff like that. They have their own ambitions of opening their own, but we'll see in the future, if Ubisoft create their own theme park. Then there's still some more reveals and news and stuff coming out of Gamescom. And I will look at that when Gamescom is over in case there's any sort of big announcements. But for now, there's so much information, like, I'm trying not to talk about it too much, but it's still going on. Please check out the Gamescom streams.
And then the last bit of news for today is my friend Neon_Genesis_ has achieved Twitch Partner, so he streams over on Twitch as he speed runs Final Fantasy VII, the original. Be sure to say Congratulations to him. Check out his streams. He streams a lot and Congratulations to Neon for achieving Twitch Partner. I know that he's been pursuing it for the last three and a half years as a streamer, and it's great to see his stream doing so well, so it's nice that it's going well for him.
