Pro Evolution Soccer, which is the football game made by Konami, has now been renamed to eFootball and it's going to be a free to play game. They're going to be launching a demo and they have said already the demo will launch without any microtransactions. Hopefully, it will mean no microtransactions in the future but when games tend to have the free to play model, they will probably have some later. I guess we'll wait and see. If you see any reference to eFootball it's Pro Evolution Soccer. Pro Evolution Soccer is a long running game. It was a main rival to the FIFA series by EA for a very, very long time. They're keeping it going in that way.
The next bit of news for today is shares in Tencent and NetEase, which are Chinese gaming companies have taken a little teeny bit of a hit. I think it was like 10% this morning because State Media referring to online games, almost like online drugs. Basically, they're trying to say that they're very addicting, essentially, but the numbers are going back up in terms of their share price. I have reported on Tencent, especially a lot lately. Tencent is the publisher behind such massive online games like PUBG Mobile. And basically, it seems like State Media or just the Chinese Government is taking a harder look at these sort of games and the impact they have and so on. Why, when, who, whatever I can't say I'm not going to even commentate. It's not for me to say, but just to know that this is happening.
And then the last bit of news for today is GTA 5, even though it came out so many years ago, is still selling really well. And it has now passed 150,000,000 sales, which means in the last quarter it's sold more than 5,000,000 copies. It's been spurred on by the online game, GTA 5 online, they keep, expanding it. They keep adding new stories, new modes and whatever to it. People are still buying the game and they're still jumping in. And I think the someday people are still hoping of any sort of announcement for GTA 6, but we will see if that ever happens.
