The next three games on Epic Games have been revealed. That the tower defense game Defense Grid: The Awakening and World War I first-person shooter Verdun. And they're going to be replacing the current games on 22 Jul 2021 until 29 Jul 2021. So the way it works is if you have an account and you've downloaded the Epic Game Launcher, you can redeem games every single week for free, and they are available to you for free forever. Simple as that. It's a bit more generous than, for example, PlayStation Plus, because PlayStation Plus, you have to pay a subscription and the subscription has to be active to actually download the games. But with Epic Games, so when they give out free games, it's yours forever. All you have to do is just log in and download it to try and get more people on the Epic Game Store.
And then the next bit of news is a French game workers Union say that very carefully are intensifying the allegations against Ubisoft about sexual harassment from executives. So this is an issue with Ubisoft that has been going on for a while, and basically, I think it's going to come to a head sort of thing. So of course, I'm not a lawyer. I can't offer any sort of legal opinion about this, but simply it's the right thing to do. If you feel something bad has happened, it's the right thing to do to raise it and speak about it. That's all I would say. I'm not going to say if anyone's guilty, I'm not going to say if anyone's innocent, I wasn't there. I don't know. But just know that this is happening has been filed in France. We have to just wait and see. And the unfortunate side of legal cases is that they can take a really long time before a judgment is reached. We will see.
And then more from Ubisoft. The upcoming extreme sports game Riders Republic, has been delayed until 28 Oct 2021 this year. Originally it was set to release on 02 Sep 2021 but you can still sign up for the beta. If you're interested in it, you want to take a look, then feel free. Now, all I will say about these issues are is that just because one element of a company has got some bad allegations, it does not mean that you should blame the company for everything that is going on. So for example, I recently had issues with how Final Fantasy XIV did a Twitch collaboration. But that does not mean I'm going to shun all of Square Enix. That would be a ridiculous overreaction. And I would say with Ubisoft its the same thing. This issue will not stop me from liking or participating in every single other thing that Ubisoft is doing, and we will see so a bit different to the normal gaming news, but I just wanted to say that so.
