In this FFXIV guide, I show how to unlock the Viper Job.

Unlocking the Viper Job

To unlock the Viper job in FFXIV, you must first reach level 50 in any Disciple of War or Magic. Then, head to Old Sharlayan and speak to the NPC called Well-informed Adventurer to start the quest "Eye of the Viper". This will begin your journey as a Viper.

You can find the Well-informed Adventurer in Old Sharlayan (X: 13.0, Y: 12.0).

Follow the questline, and you'll unlock the Viper job, gaining access to its abilities and equipment.

The Viper job was added to Final Fantasy XIV in the Dawntrail expansion and offers a unique dual-wielding playstyle.

First Steps as a Viper

After completing "Eye of the Viper", you'll receive your first Viper weapon and ability. Continue the job questline to unlock more abilities and deepen your understanding of the Viper's role in dealing high burst damage.

Engage in various quests such as "The Viper's Fang" and "Dual Dilemmas" to build your skills and reputation as a Viper.

As a Viper, your primary duty is to deal damage to your enemies with quick, powerful strikes. This involves using your dual-wielding abilities to maximize damage output. Embrace your role with agility and precision, and you'll become a formidable force in any group content in FFXIV.

As you advance, you'll unlock more powerful abilities and gain access to unique Viper gear, enhancing your performance and appearance.

Playing as a Viper offers a thrilling and dynamic DPS experience. Vipers have high burst damage, swift movements, and an engaging combat style. If you enjoy dealing massive damage quickly and efficiently, the Viper job is perfect for you.
