In this FFXIV guide, I show how to unlock the Summoner Job.

Unlocking the Summoner Job

To unlock the Summoner job in FFXIV, you must first reach level 30 as an Arcanist and complete the class quest "Sinking Doesmaga". Then, head to Limsa Lominsa and speak to Thubyrgeim in the Arcanists' Guild to start the quest "Austerities of Flame". This will begin your journey as a Summoner.

You can find the Arcanists' Guild in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X: 4.5, Y: 11.2).

Follow the questline, and you'll unlock the Summoner job, gaining access to its abilities and equipment.

The Summoner job was added to Final Fantasy XIV in the original release and remains a staple magical DPS role in the game.

First Steps as a Summoner

After completing "Austerities of Flame", you'll receive your first Summoner weapon and ability. Continue the job questline to unlock more abilities and deepen your understanding of the Summoner's role in dealing magical damage and summoning powerful entities.

Engage in various quests such as "Primal Burdens" and "Austerities of Earth" to build your skills and reputation as a Summoner.

The Path of a Conjurer

As a Summoner, your primary duty is to deal sustained magical damage and support your party with summoned entities. This involves using your abilities to maximize damage output and manage your summons effectively. Embrace your role with dedication and strategy, and you'll become a key asset in any group content in FFXIV.

As you advance, you'll unlock more powerful abilities and gain access to unique Summoner gear, enhancing your performance and appearance.
