FFXIV Job Unlock Quests: Paladin Unlock Guide

In this FFXIV guide, I show how to unlock the Paladin Job.

Unlocking the Paladin Job

To unlock the Paladin job in FFXIV, you must first reach level 30 as a Gladiator and complete the class quest "Sylph-management". Then, head to Ul'dah and speak to Lulutsu in the Gladiators' Guild to start the quest "Paladin's Pledge". This will begin your journey as a Paladin.

You can find the Gladiators' Guild in Ul'dah - Steps of Thal (X: 9.2, Y: 11.7).

Follow the questline, and you'll unlock the Paladin job, gaining access to its abilities and equipment.

The Paladin job was added to Final Fantasy XIV in the original release and remains a staple tank role in the game.

First Steps as a Paladin

After completing "Paladin's Pledge", you'll receive your first Paladin weapon and ability. Continue the job questline to unlock more abilities and deepen your understanding of the Paladin's role in protecting your party.

Engage in various quests such as "Honor Lost" and "Power Struggles" to build your skills and reputation as a Paladin.

The Path of a Protector

As a Paladin, your primary duty is to protect your allies and maintain enmity (aggro) on enemies. This involves using your abilities to shield your party and mitigate damage effectively. Embrace your role with honor and dedication, and you'll become a key asset in any group content in FFXIV.

As you advance, you'll unlock more powerful abilities and gain access to unique Paladin gear, enhancing your performance and appearance.

Playing as a Paladin offers a balanced and fulfilling tanking experience. Paladins have strong defensive capabilities, healing spells, and consistent damage output. If you enjoy being the shield of your party and leading the charge into battle, the Paladin job is perfect for you.
